Q: At what hospital will my surgery be performed?
A: Canyon Surgical Clinic, Lance R. Bryce, MD has privileges to practice general surgery at Brigham City Community Hospital, Ogden Regional Medical Center and Bear River Hospital. The hospital where your surgery is performed will depend on your primary care physician, the type of surgery, and your insurance provider.

Q: What are the qualifications of Dr. Bryce?
A: Lance R. Bryce MD is board eligible general surgeon with a broad experience in general surgery with special interests in Laparoscopy, Rural Trauma, Breast Radiation Catheters and Endoscopy. Dr. Bryce worked for several years alongside world class physicians while receiving his training at Banner Good Samaratin Regional Medical Center and Carl T. Hayden Veteran's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. GSRMC is a Level-One Trauma facility with one of the nations leading blood conservation surgery programs.

Q: Can Canyon Surgical Clinic help with filing my insurance claims?
A: Yes, our staff can assist in filing claims with your insurance claims. Please visit our Patient Information page for more information.

Q: Is an office visit required to begin the patient registration process?
A: While an office visit is necessary to evaluate your medical condition and determine a treatment plan, our Patient Registration Forms are available on our web site and can be submitted via fax or mail prior to your appointment or bring them with you to your appointment.

Q: What should I bring to my initial appointment?
A: Please bring your insurance card, any medications you are currently taking - including vitamins and supplements, and any x-rays (films & reports) or test results relating to your condition. You may download and complete our Patient Registration Forms and either bring them with you to your appointment or submit them via fax or mail prior to your appointment or bring them with you to your appointment.
Q: Should I do anything to prepare for the surgery?
A: Your physician will advise you if you should do anything specific to prepare for your procedure. If your surgery will require the use of general anesthesia, you must not eat or drink anything (including water) beginning at midnight the evening before your surgery.
Q: What should I bring with me the day of surgery?
A: A detailed list of what to bring with you will be provided to you prior to the day of your surgery.
Q: What should I expect immediately after surgery?
A: Dr. Bryce will cover all aspects of your post operative recovery including, pain control, exercise and diet. Please contact Canyon Surgical Clinic with any questions you may have.
Q: What should I do in case of an emergency?
A: You may reach Canyon Surgical Clinic by calling (435) 723-0329 during Office Hours. If you or your family feels the situation is life-threatening or demands immediate attention, dial 911 or go directly to the emergency room nearest you.
